Using a template from the book Mucus Mayhem, kids will draw and design their own super-hero logo, cape and outfit.
It all starts with Kevin's patented 5-second cartooning class, and his own demonstration of how to draw a logo and come up with a super-power.
This will involves lots of interplay with the audience as they yell ideas at Kevin that he has to incorporate into HIS design.
Then the kids get some time to do their own work.

To write a wilderness survival novel that involved snowboarding, Pam took up the sport, interviewed avalanche survivors and studied helicopter accident reports. To write a novel about a kayaker who was kidnapped, she read a pile of books about people who'd actually been kidnapped. Her workshop on how to make fiction writing "real" is jam-packed with entertaining stories about her research, and includes a session in which students partner up and interview one another as experts, then write from the information gained, emphasizing the five senses. This has participants laughing and learning at the same time. Bring nothing but a pencil and pad of paper. Fourth grade up, no maximum number of participants.

And of course themes of self-identity and why we so often keep our struggles 'in the dark.'|
