Your chance to make a difference; your chance to be recognized
The Festival Fund supports the expansion of the Festival of Trees into rural and at-risk communities, helps bring Indigenous communities to a Festival of Trees event, and may also help Canadian authors get to the Festival. The Fund ensures every child and author has the opportunity to celebrate Canadian literature at the Festival of Trees events.
The Festival Fund promotes engagement in reading through:
- The journey of 6,000 books: transportation and logistical costs associated with getting new and current books by Canadian authors into the hands of students in Indigenous, rural or at-risk communities.
- A rock concert of reading: allowing children to experience a local Festival of Trees event, where they can meet and participate in workshops with their favourite Canadian authors.
- Cultivating a love of reading: Cover the cost of Forest of Reading program registration and the delivery of books to First Nation communities.
Donate today and help give the gift of literacy.
